Which Sex REALLY Asks for Driving Directions More: Men or Women?

No comments :
We asked Onstar to find out what happens behind closed car doors. It's a stereotype as old as time: Men would rather drive around in circles than ask for directions. But is it really true—even when no one's around to know whether or not dudes could find their way on their own?To find out, we went to the pros at OnStar, who are known for providing subscribers with directions  at the touch of a button. Turns out, 38 percent of OnStar subscribers are female—so if both services asked for directions the same amount, that would be the percentage of women using navigation services. But 44 percent of all subscribers who use naviation services are women, meaning they use them a disproportionately high amount. Women represent even more of all naviation requests: 48 percent. "So in general, female subscribers are willing to use navigation more than male subscribers and are using it more frequently," said a spokesperson for OnStar.RELATED: 6 Surprising Factors That Make Men InsecureGranted, there are some caveats: OnStar doesn't track who exactly is pushing the button each time; they only have records on whose name the OnStar account for the car is under. Still, pretty interesting that guys stay true to the cliche even when no one's watching.RELATED: Why Marriage Talk Can Shut Some Men DownAnd the gender stereotypes continue: Services that men use a disproportionately high amount include OnStar's in-car Wi-Fi hotpots and its RemoteLink Mobile App, which lets you do thinks like lock and unlock your car from your phone.
